The appropriate age for kids to use technology.

From my point of view, it is good that kids learn about technology since early years becuase, as we live in a world sorrounded by technology, kids need to know about technology and devices as well. It means that not only adults can use technology but also young people. When kids are immersed in the technology, I found no one but plenty of problems that kids are exposed to.

For intance, if kids learn how to use  devices they are exposed to be radiated by the magnetic waves and that could cause or produce nervous system disorders in them. Moreover, if kids are not controlled or monitored by an adult when using the technology, they can face in and find out not allowed content for kids. These are some of the problems that I see. Besides, the time children spend when using the technology should be controlled by parents at any time.

I am not saying that there are only  problems when kids are handling technology, there are, as well, many such good things as learning to speak, to count, to socialize, to send messages, to communicate, to look up games, to make better tasks, to  possibly make e-pals, etc. These are nice things that kids can do. However, what is the best age to let kids to use technology?

As we saw in the beginning of this paragraph, there is no limitations for a kid to learn about technology when being so young, but it will depend on the parents´ responsibility and on the control that they could exert upon the children. I think that there is no age for learning concerning technology, but if I had a kid a would let him/her use technology since 7 years on because I consider she is in the right moment to learn new things in life.    

Good and bad things both in presential classes and in on line classes.

I have always believed that going to classes have many more advantages and benefits. For intance, if I receive classes by internet I am exposed to have thousands of doubts and those doubts would make me fail a subject. It means that whenever I look for a class on-line there will be something that I will not understand. 

Instead, if I go to classes every day, I will have the possibility to understand in a range of 95% of all the content. So it means that having a real teacher, a student can ask, do, learn and put into practice. I am saying that through classes on line, there is only directions and multiple drill for the students to practice, but what about if the student has not understood. There needs to be intervention of a second person to help this student in what he/she has not gotten.

The two situation before are examples that contain good and bad things. But not only this way there exist problems but olso when Going to classes is kind of difficult or even when we are late because of the bus, taxi or other thing. If we receive classe bia internet we have the chance to be doing other things like eating, drinking a soda, brushing our hair, etc. Instead, in the classroom most of the times those things are not allowed to do. 

Nevertheless, taking classes on line have some disadvantages, I can call them this way, beacuse there exist many distractors sorrounding us all the time. In this way, eventhough, everything is clear we could face difficulties.

For me, it is better to have classes presentially because sometimes the connection of the internet does not work and we could face disgusting situations when doing something really important. I would like to have classes on line when we are tired or maybe when the classes are in the morning, especially because I hate to get up early in the morning.

how can we use these programs in our lesson planning?

Mind42

 It is a software application that is fated to create, manage and edit mind map. This program is useful to develop task that in other programs are impossible. With this program we cannot do more than entering thoughts, arranging and refining them, and exploring ideas in a graphical way. Mind42 is a web application. It means that we do not have to download anything to our computer or USB o anywhere. We just need to have access to a computer and to the internet. Well, this is a problem because this program is always available only by internet. There is not a downloadable application or a portable version.

Youthink

Youthink is a web site for teacher to create individual tests, ask and answer questions. They can also create profiles, journals, forums, and some other things. The major utility of this work is that that students can develop many activities in class or in the place they want when having internet. In case that learners work with forums, they can interact with one another by giving their own opinions, so this might help them to improve their learning skills by developing any task.

Brainshark

Brainshark is a software to present videos on high-definition. This program let the students work in home, or from the place they better consider, so educators can make presentations including questions, tracks, explanations etc. Teachers can create their own learning tutorials based on specific topics, so that students interactively learn new things by using any device.

Mailvu

MailVU is a free video sharing application, in which it is easy record and send full length videos via different tools to a person anywhere. We just need to create an account and start using it, to be a MailVU user. the benefit of this application is that students can record videos of any length related to any topic and share them to other students, so they also may have peer assessment, and it is not necessary record videos just from computers since we can record and send them from phones, tablets, through SMS texts or emails etc.

This programs allows us to create, edit and share word documents online. this tool is used by students because they can share important things with others classmates, so the documents that students create are similar to Microsoft word, but the disadvantage of using this tool is that it is necessary have internet otherwise students cannot work in word Google, so it is important that teachers encourage students to use this tool, which can be used to develop a variety of activities in class or from the place they prefer.

As some other programs, YouTube can be useful for sharing any video either of cooking, teaching, showing how to do something, etc. As well as to give a procedure to reach a goal. Mainly, YouTube is used to present hobbies and ads for trading purposes.

We can find funny videos, educational video or any video that can help us to accomplish a purpose in our life.

In YouTube we can learn many thing through tutorial and video sections. We can visualize the world from different angles and areas. We can also know about other countries or learn whatever we want.

In education, it has many purposes because many people upload educative videos that contribute to the formation and in the learning of anything.

Some disadvantages that it has are: it is not only for entertainment. Second, we can find perverted videos. But something really damaging is that many people uses programs like to YouTube to harm other people by uploading pictures or video that affects the intimacy of other people. At the end, it is issue of us in what way use we make use of this tools that have many purposes.
